It s such an elegant classic looking bike and one of my favorites in the club.

A very good condition norton dominator 650ss this is a bracebridge street model built in 1962 its not a matching frame and engine number but both were manufactured in 1962. The dominator is a twin cylinder motorcycle developed by norton to compete against the triumph speed twin the original dominator was designed in 1947 and 1948 by bert hopwood who had been on the speed twin design team at triumph. But the norton 650ss was top dog for scant seconds. This bike has had a fortune spent on it to bring it back to this condition in 650ss style.

Market where it was sold as the manxman finally in 1962 the norton 650ss arrived and was an instant hit. Twin carbs and a new tank and seat combo were added. Available for sale from mid 1949 this design set the pattern for norton twins for the next 30 years. Retro moto passion genolier vd suisse.

The bike starts easily and sounds superb. 1st kick after complete restauration by thomas rudin. It doesn t smoke and is quiet mechanically. The 1962 norton 650ss and all other motorcycles made 1894 2020.

It s always a pleas. A 650cc engine with twin carburettors was installed which was capable of 110 115 mph 177. It seemed to be the bike every norton twin should have been. At this time they also narrowed the top frame rails near the front of the seat for greater rider comfort earning them the nickname slimline featherbeds.
